You can get an estimate from MTRS of your years of Creditable Service by sending an email to

You will need to include:
Your Name
Your Address
Date of Birth
and When you believe you are eligible (eg: I believe I will reach 80% retirement at end of 2025-2026 school year)
This is a very good thing to do especially if you changed schools / districts during your career.
You should get an email back with an attachment to fill out and mail in to get your answer, but be aware it can take 18 months to get your answer.
